  1. Rick K. says:

I’d suggest using Tom Lehrer’s song, “Vatican Rag”, to remember the routine a Catholic is supposed to do during Mass.

    • Cephus says:

Oh yeah, that’s a great idea. I’m kind of surprised that I forgot about Lehrer, considering I’m a big fan. Poisoning Pigeons in the Park!

  2. I am really behind in my podcast listening, so I thought I would let you know that this was one of my favorite shows so far. It was really good at showing that personal responsibility has multiple knock on effects. The example about the US being a great country really got me to thinking that if people only would realize that to be considered great in other countries, you really need to start at home. That means taking fiscal and political responsibility among many other factors.

    • Cephus says:

That’s okay, I’m really behind in responding to comments. 🙂

I think the biggest issue is that we don’t treat people in other countries the way we’d want them to treat us, the Golden Rule means nothing to Americans most of the time. We openly treat them in horrible, awful ways that we’d scream and cry if anyone tried to treat us the same way. There’s a horrible double standard, just because we’re full of ourselves and think we ought to make the rules. That’s why people hate us and we’re totally blind to it.

I’m glad you’re enjoying the show, I really wish I could get you on sometime!
