  1. I truly hope nothing comes from the Google case in France, and I am pretty sure nothing will. It is a slap in the face for freedom of speech and information that I would not expect from a country that purportedly holds freedom (especially from establishment) so dearly. My guess is that if the French do not back down, Google will probably just remove the Google.fr domain and then all the French people who want legitimate search results will just use Google servers elsewhere. In the same way that I use Google.com in every country I reside in, as it is convenient and it works.
